Here are some of the ground textures I’ve been working on this week.
The textures are all 1024px² in dimension and are seen here at 1:1 size. They were made through combined use of Photoshop and ZBrush, each possessing a diffuse, specular, normal and height map. The height map is useful for blending between terrain textures in a more convincing way than is allowed by traditional linear opacity interpolation. I will demonstrate this effect in a later post.
